I made pancakes with apples and cinnamon according to this recipe. Many thanks to the author for such a fragrant breakfast! I kneaded the dough according to the recipe. Vanilla tincture was replaced with vanilla sugar. I left it to rest as recommended by the author. For the filling, I used red-sided and sweet apples. I left the skin, it didn’t seem feminine to me. I simmered the apples in butter and spices. Unfortunately, I didn’t have star anise. I took ground cinnamon. The filling turned out to be of good consistency, very tasty and tender according to this recipe. Then, instead of butter, I put odorless vegetable oil into the dough. The pancakes were fried perfectly, thin and did not tear. I wrapped the apple filling in the pancakes and voila! Dessert with apples is very tender and tasty. We really liked the apple and cinnamon pancakes. The combination of apples and cinnamon is great! Thank you very much!!!

I cook these pancakes either for guests or in the presence of guests, or with their direct participation. Then it is prepared quickly and taking into account the tastes of the guest. I only prepare the apple filling quickly: I cut it into cubes and put it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. All! This way you get practically fresh apples, only soft to make wrapping easier. I then strain off the excess liquid and serve separately as a sauce for tea or coffee. I can add anything the guest wishes, ginger, cinnamon. This is a dish for all tastes, even for those on a diet!

Irisha, I liked your apple filling, and I make pancakes twice a week. So, I will definitely make it according to your recipe. The other day I bought a couple of star anise (as well as a cinnamon stick - I’m just familiar with ground cinnamon), but I’ve never used them. Can you please tell me how to just throw star anise and cinnamon into fried apples, boil them a little and remove them? Or some other way? Thank you .

A very correct solution is frying ready-made pancakes in butter, this way they turn out much tastier, with a crispy, fried, bright crust; this process is best done before serving, which will make them freshly baked and desirable. A very pleasant filling, I’ve never made it with star anise, but I can imagine the aroma of delicate anise and the piquant taste of oriental seasonings. Now I know where to add this miracle spice.

Anait, yes, just add star anise and a cinnamon stick to the apples and simmer until soft, by the way, you can also add lemon, orange zest, or just add that piece of lemon from which you squeezed the juice. When the apples become soft, turn it off and take out the spices and lemon peel. By the way, you need to be careful with star anise, it has a fairly strong aroma and not everyone likes it, so you can just break the star into halves and add only part.
