  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cutlets from oatmeal? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Oat flakes can be used large, small, instant or long-cooked. Take medium-sized onions or two small onions.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Boil water and pour in oatmeal. Leave for 15 minutes if instant cereal and 30 minutes if long cooking.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the onion and garlic, rinse. Cut the onion into 2-3 parts.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the onion and garlic cloves in a blender bowl and puree.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Grate the potatoes on a fine grater.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place chopped onion and garlic into a container with oatmeal. Salt and pepper to taste. Add grated potatoes. There is no need to drain the liquid from the potato mixture.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Mix the oat mixture well with a spoon until smooth. Leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Start forming the cutlets. Wet your hands with cold water, take some oatmeal, and make round or oblong cutlets, as you like.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Heat refined vegetable oil in a frying pan. I use olive oil, but you can use refined vegetable oil. Place the cutlets. Fry over medium heat, covered, first on one side for about 7 minutes until golden brown.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Then turn over and fry on the other side until golden brown. Place the finished cutlets on a plate previously lined with paper towels to remove excess fat.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Oatmeal cutlets turn out golden brown and appetizing. Serve them to the table while they are still hot with sour cream or your favorite sauce.

The recipe is new to me, I have never tried cutlets like this. I add oatmeal instead of buns to the minced meat when I cook cutlets, I like the result.

I was interested in the recipe: oatmeal cutlets, like meat cutlets, and decided to cook a new dish for me. I have quick-cooking oatmeal, so I poured water over it for 15 minutes to swell. Peeled the onion and garlic and chopped it in a blender. Grated the potatoes on a fine grater. Combined all the prepared ingredients and mixed. The formed cutlets were fried in a frying pan on both sides until golden brown. It turned out unexpectedly delicious: with a minimum and availability of ingredients! I liked it both hot and cold. Thanks to the author for the recipe for delicious cutlets.

I like oatmeal for its neutrality. You can make sweet pancakes, or you can make non-sweet cutlets with various additives. I decided to add fried mushrooms and onions to the cutlets. My husband didn’t even understand what these cutlets were made of) I cooked them for breakfast and served them with sour cream. The cutlets fry very quickly and do not stick to the pan; after frying, I put them on a paper towel to absorb excess fat. The oatmeal cutlets turned out very tasty both hot and cold.

It turned out unexpectedly delicious, even the children liked it. The only spices I added were coriander and turmeric for color.
