Oatmeal cutlets are like meat cutlets

STEP 1

How to make cutlets from oatmeal? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Oat flakes can be used large, small, instant or long-cooked. Take medium-sized onions or two small onions.
STEP 2

Boil water and pour in oatmeal. Leave for 15 minutes if instant cereal and 30 minutes if long cooking.
STEP 3

Peel the onion and garlic, rinse. Cut the onion into 2-3 parts.
STEP 4

Place the onion and garlic cloves in a blender bowl and puree.
STEP 5

Grate the potatoes on a fine grater.
STEP 6

Place chopped onion and garlic into a container with oatmeal. Salt and pepper to taste. Add grated potatoes. There is no need to drain the liquid from the potato mixture.
STEP 7

Mix the oat mixture well with a spoon until smooth. Leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes.
STEP 8

Start forming the cutlets. Wet your hands with cold water, take some oatmeal, and make round or oblong cutlets, as you like.
STEP 9

Heat refined vegetable oil in a frying pan. I use olive oil, but you can use refined vegetable oil. Place the cutlets. Fry over medium heat, covered, first on one side for about 7 minutes until golden brown.
STEP 10

Then turn over and fry on the other side until golden brown. Place the finished cutlets on a plate previously lined with paper towels to remove excess fat.
STEP 11

Oatmeal cutlets turn out golden brown and appetizing. Serve them to the table while they are still hot with sour cream or your favorite sauce.
