Mushrooms with walnuts in Georgian style

STEP 1

How to make mushrooms with walnuts in Georgian style? First, prepare all the necessary ingredients. Choose any mushrooms (I took frozen champignons), pre-boil fresh ones, and defrost frozen ones at room temperature.
STEP 2

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, add mushrooms and salt, fry until excess water has evaporated.
STEP 3

Place the mushrooms on a separate dish.
STEP 4

Peel the onions, rinse with cold water and cut into small pieces.
STEP 5

Fry the onion until golden brown in the pan where the mushrooms were fried.
STEP 6

Grind the walnuts using a blender or mortar.
STEP 7

Peel the garlic and add to the nuts.
STEP 8

Grind again.
STEP 9

Add fried onions, walnuts and garlic to the mushrooms and add vinegar and spices. In Georgia, wine or apple cider vinegar is more often used, but I took regular table vinegar, 9%.
STEP 10

Mix all ingredients evenly, garnish with herbs or pomegranate seeds to your taste and serve hot or cold. Bon appetit!
