I prepared a Lenten pie with apples in the oven according to this recipe. I just made it in bowls for two servings. First I mixed all the dry ingredients. Then I combined it with the liquid ingredients and kneaded the dough, which came out quite liquid. For flavor, I also added ground nutmeg as recommended by the author. Peeled the apples and cut them into medium pieces. I used homemade apples, they smell very nice, I just peeled off the skins. I put the apples in molds, filled them with dough and left them so that the dough was absorbed into the apples, as the author writes. Then I baked the pie in the oven for half an hour. The apple dessert turned out great. The aroma was excellent coming from the baked goods. Great recipe! The preparation is not complicated and quite quick. The pie turned out sweet, tender and airy. The child really liked the portioned apple pie and asked for more. There are still apples, I’ll cook them again. Tasty and aromatic with a cup of coffee. Many thanks to the author 😊

I use the same recipe to make apple roll. It turns out more juicy than a pie. Instead of flour, I add breadcrumbs to the filling so that they absorb the juice from the apples. The roll needs to be pierced with a fork in several places to prevent the dough from bursting.

Once again I am convinced that everything is brilliant - simple) The apple pie recipe will always be relevant - this is the best dessert for tea. The only thing is that not everyone loves the smell and taste of cinnamon, but it can be easily replaced with citrus zest or vanilla. Lenten pie will be appreciated not only by people who observe fasting, but also by those who are allergic to egg whites or yolks.

Great recipe. I really like this pie, I usually call it Charlotte. It always turns out so fluffy and incredibly delicious. It's just finger licking good. And this pie is very easy to prepare, my mother showed me this recipe as a child, I remembered it and still make my family happy. I think this recipe should be in every cookbook.

This simple recipe makes a very tender pie. The dough is thin, crispy, and the filling is incredibly tasty, reminiscent of apple confiture. By the way, this pie is quite juicy. I just put a kilogram of apples in the filling, three is somehow not enough, because the filling decreases greatly in quantity while the pie spends a whole hour in the oven.
