Lavash roll with garlic and cheese
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a lavash roll with garlic and cheese? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You will need thin Armenian lavash. How to choose the right lavash? First of all, look at the manufacturing date on the packaging. Do not take expired baked goods. Fresh pita bread should have a pleasant smell. Look carefully to make sure there are no stains or signs of mold.
STEP 2
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. The cheese can be anything. The main thing is that it is tasty, fresh and aromatic. I have an ordinary Russian one. You can replace the solid one with a fused one of the “Friendship” type. To make it more convenient to rub, keep it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 3
Hard-boil the eggs first. How to hard boil eggs? To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking, place them in cold water and cook over low heat. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then cover with cold water and cool. The shell will be better cleaned from a sharp temperature change. Cool and peel the eggs, then grate them on a coarse grater.
STEP 4
Wash the dill and parsley, dry and finely chop. If you wish, you can replace or supplement with other herbs, such as cilantro, green onions, or use a mixture of different herbs.
STEP 5
In a bowl, combine the cheese with grated eggs, chopped herbs and garlic cloves passed through a press. Season the filling with mayonnaise and salt to taste.
STEP 6
Mix everything thoroughly. If the filling turns out to be dry, add more mayonnaise.
STEP 7
If necessary, trim the lavash sheets with a knife or scissors so that they become the same shape and size. If the pita bread is in the form of one large sheet, cut it into 3-4 identical rectangles. Spread all the lavash sheets evenly with the egg, cheese and mayonnaise filling and stack on top of each other.
STEP 8
Roll the pita bread into a tight roll. How to roll pita bread correctly? Roll it carefully and as tightly as possible so that the filling does not fall out at the edges and the pita bread itself does not tear. If the roll is not rolled tightly, it will be difficult to cut it into beautiful pieces.
STEP 9
Wrap the roll in cling film. Place in the refrigerator for one hour. During this time it will be well soaked and become soft.
STEP 10
Cut the finished roll into portions and serve. Bon appetit!
