  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake a simple kefir pie with cottage cheese in the oven? First, prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour the kefir into a separate container and add soda to it. Stir and leave for 5-7 minutes. During this time, the reaction between kefir and soda will begin. Read about all the nuances of working with soda in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Beat the eggs into a separate bowl, add sugar and whisk until smooth.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour kefir into the egg mixture and stir.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour in the vegetable oil and mix everything well again.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Sift the flour with baking powder and add to the dough. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished cake will turn out fluffier and airier.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Mix everything well. The dough should be quite thick.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling. Take natural, high-quality cottage cheese, without milk fat substitutes. Read about how to choose cottage cheese for the filling in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Grind cottage cheese with egg, sugar and vanilla. You should get a fairly dense mass. Vanillin can be replaced with vanilla sugar. Read how to do this correctly in a separate article at the link after the recipe.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Form small balls from the curd. The balls can be made colored by tinting them with juice. If the curd filling turns out to be runny and you either can’t make the balls at all or they fall apart, then you can add 1 tbsp. l. flour.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Pour the dough into the baking dish and smooth it out. Read about how to choose a baking dish in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe. Place the curd balls on top at a distance from each other. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Bon appetit!

I made a kefir pie with cottage cheese today for the family. I took the proportions strictly according to the recommendation. The dough actually turns out quite thick. But the curd mass turned out to be liquid. I was thinking about how to correct it. I was choosing between semolina and rice flour. And I finally settled on flour. When choosing a baking dish, I, of course, made a mistake. It was necessary to take a smaller form. The pie of course rose, since the recipe itself is excellent, but it did not completely cover the curd balls. It tastes simply wonderful: soft, tasty dough, and the curd balls in the pie are very interesting. Next time I’ll either change the amount of ingredients or take a smaller shape. Thanks to the author for the wonderful recipe!

Maria, I made this wonderful pie today. It turned out VERY tasty, so airy and soft with very juicy soft curd balls. I put 75 g of sugar in the dough, but the pie still seemed very sweet to me. Instead of vanillin I took 10 g of vanilla sugar. Maria, thank you very much for the recipe. Such a great pie made from simple ingredients. And it gets ready very quickly My photo report
