Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

From canned fish, you should definitely take those that are either in oil or in their own juice. I prefer saury, although mackerel is also possible.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Let's prepare the filling. Finely chop the onion and boil the eggs.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Drain the juice or oil from the canned fish. Fry the onion in oil in a frying pan until it becomes transparent. Chop the fish, remove the ridges and mix with the onion in a separate bowl.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add chopped eggs and grated cheese (the eggs can also be grated on a coarse grater).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

    Add mayonnaise and mix carefully.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Prepare the dough Mix flour with baking powder, add salt. Separately combine sour cream with eggs, softened butter, and mayonnaise. Beat until you get a homogeneous mixture and mix with flour. The dough should end up looking like sour cream, the same in thickness. We divide it into two parts.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Turn on the oven to warm up. Pour one part of the dough into a baking sheet or mold, put the filling on it and fill it with the second part of the dough.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The top can be sprinkled with grated cheese.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place in the oven on the middle shelf for 10 minutes at 250 degrees. (only the lower part should be turned on). Then turn on the upper part too and leave for forty minutes. The temperature can be reduced to 220 degrees. Let it cool in the oven, then take it out and let it sit for another 10 minutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Canned fish pie is served chilled.

I really like the recipe. I’m sitting here reading and my mouth is watering. Today I will definitely try to cook this at home for my beloved husband. Very cool idea with an electronic cookbook. Now everything is much simpler; all recipes can be found quickly. And most importantly, you don’t have to copy it into a notebook so that you can return to this dish later.

Hello, the recipe is cool, but the dough is better made from yeast dough. And I recommend the following filling: fresh pollock fillet, potatoes, onion rings and definitely butter (to avoid the dryness of the pie) it turns out very tasty! And thanks for the new recipe, I’ll try to bake it too!

I made fish pie for Christmas. To make it quicker, I bought ready-made dough at the store, and used canned pink salmon for the filling. Oh, what a hearty and delicious pie it was

From the proposed amount of ingredients, a thin layer of dough and a thick layer of filling were obtained. The result is that it’s not even possible to pick up a piece, everything falls apart. Products were wasted and time wasted
