  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry crucian carp in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary products. The fresher the fish, the better, but frozen will work too. Thaw it in advance if necessary. To rid crucian carp of the inherent smell of mud, sprinkle it with lemon juice, lightly pepper or add spices during processing.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First, clean the crucian carp from scales and gut it. You will be lucky if there is caviar inside the fish. It is very tasty to fry it either separately or in the form of pancakes, adding an egg. In a word, remove the caviar, if any, and set it aside for another recipe.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Large crucian carp must be cut into pieces with a sharp knife, spread along the spine - this way the pieces will be better fried and browned. Leave small fish whole, the main thing is that they fit in the pan when frying (but I still recommend cutting them into pieces).

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

This is what my cut portions of crucian carp look like.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

    Sprinkle them with lemon juice.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

    Salt and pepper the fish.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

And bread the crucian carp in flour. To do this, simply roll the fish in flour on a separate flat plate.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Fry pieces of crucian carp in a frying pan in hot oil over medium heat on one side until golden brown. Do not leave the stove and make sure that your fish does not burn.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Then turn the fish over and fry on the other side, adding onion pieces in between. If the crucian carp is even larger than mine, you can keep it under the lid, but then turn it upside down again so that the limp surface under the lid dries out and becomes crispy again.

We live on the Volga, here you can always catch fresh fish for dinner. And my husband really loves fish in any form. It was for him that I fried crucian carp. I also usually fry fish, breading it in flour. To prevent the fish from falling apart when frying, I salt it and leave it in the refrigerator for half an hour. Instead of black pepper, I used ground lemon pepper. The crucian carp were not large in size, I did not cut them, I fried them whole, I just made notches. Crucian carp taste sweet, and with lemon pepper it’s generally “fire”) The recipe is very simple and accessible to everyone.

I cooked fried crucian carp in a frying pan in flour. The prepared crucian carcasses were spread along the ridge. To avoid feeling the bones, I made notches on the backs with a sharp knife. I salted the fish, peppered it, sprinkled it with lemon juice, left it for about 20 minutes. Then I rolled each piece in flour and fried it in vegetable oil. I just forgot about the onion... it would be nice to serve it with fish. But even without onions, fried crucian carp is very tasty!!! Thanks to the author!

I had five crucian carp of different (but not large!) sizes. The fish was still splashing around when I cleaned it. I simply cut it into two parts. The rest was according to the author’s recipe. The crucian carp turned out very tasty. juicy. * sweet * with onions just the bomb!!! Thanks to the author for the recipe!!!
