    How to stew fish with vegetables? Prepare your food. I took blue whiting, but any other sea white fish will do - pollock, cod, mackerel, hake. It can be either fresh or frozen, which will need to be thawed first.

    Clean the fish and remove the insides, cut off the heads and fins, if any. Be sure to remove the black film from the belly, it can give the fish a bitter taste. Cut the fish into portions.

    Wash and peel the vegetables well. Remove the core and seeds from the pepper. Cut carrots and onions into cubes, bell peppers into strips.

    Heat oil for frying in a frying pan. Lightly fry the onion over low heat, not long, about 2 minutes, then add the carrots and pepper. Fry the vegetables together for a couple more minutes, stirring them first. Then reduce the heat, add tomato juice, stir. Place the fish on the vegetable bed, salt and pepper the dish. Simmer everything together under the lid for 15-20 minutes, depending on the size and type of fish.

    At the very end, add green peas to it. If you don't have fresh peas, use canned ones.

I wanted to cook fish for dinner, and I found a bag of blue whiting in the freezer. I thawed the fish and cut it up: I cut off the head and tail, and removed the black film. Then I washed the carcasses and salted them. I cut the onion into half rings, the carrots into quarters, and fried them. Then I added bell pepper, I had it frozen in large pieces. Instead of tomato juice, I have paste diluted with water. I also supplemented the vegetables with a clove of garlic and a bay leaf. In the summer I would also add zucchini). Placed the fish on top along with the peas and simmered over low heat for about 15 minutes. When serving, sprinkled the fish stew with vegetables with chopped parsley. This is a very tasty dish! The blue whiting turned out juicy, soaked in vegetable juices! And aromatic vegetables are the best side dish!
