Necessary products.
STEP 2

Grind the hazelnuts in a blender until they form fine crumbs. Set aside half the ground nuts.
STEP 3

Add regular and vanilla sugar, grind together with the remaining nuts more finely. Add salt and cardamom.
STEP 4

Place the ground nuts and sugar into a bowl. Add the cubed butter and stir until smooth.
STEP 5

Add the egg yolk. Mix.
STEP 6

Gradually add flour with baking powder and knead the dough.
STEP 7

Roll the dough into a ball and put it in the refrigerator for an hour.
STEP 8

Pour nut crumbs into a plate. Roll the dough into balls the size of a walnut. Roll cookies in nut crumbs.
STEP 9

Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake the filbertines for 15-20 minutes until light golden brown.
