Walnut cookies with nuts

Make a filling from different nuts. Add piquancy to the taste with aromatic spices. Create your own unique masterpiece!
Homemade cookies can be made from almost any dough: yeast, yeast-free, shortbread or puff pastry. In any case, you can get a delicious product that adds warmth, joy and pleasure to our life. Yeast dough will require more attention. All other types of home baking are less time-consuming and effort-intensive. The filling can be made from one type of nut or several. Sugar is a great substitute for honey. And spices will add uniqueness to the dish: turmeric, cinnamon, mint, zest.
Interesting recipe: 1. Sift the flour. Add a pinch of salt and vanilla.2. Chop the butter in the flour until fine crumbs form.3. Add sour cream and stir with a spoon until smooth.4. Knead the dough with your hands as quickly as possible. Roll it into a ball.5. Wrap in film and place in the refrigerator.6. Grind lightly roasted walnuts in a blender until fine crumbs.7. Mix nuts with sugar and honey. Add cinnamon on the tip of a knife.8. Separate about a third of the dough (leave the rest in the refrigerator).9. Roll it into a “sausage”. Divide into small equal parts.10. Roll out each part into a thin elongated layer.11. Place the filling in the center along the entire layer.12. Carefully tuck the sides in and roll the cookies into a tube.13. Repeat the procedure with the remaining dough.14. Place the nut tubes on a baking sheet lined with parchment.15. Brush the top of the cookies with beaten egg.16. Bake at 170-180° for about 15 minutes.17. Sprinkle the finished cooled cookies with powdered sugar.
Helpful tips:• The nuts for the filling should be crushed to fine crumbs, and not to a paste.• To prevent the shortbread dough from “floating”, you need to work with it, dividing it into parts, as quickly as possible. The rest (non-working) mass should remain in the refrigerator.
