STEP 1

Boil the eggs hard, cool and peel. Also grate on a coarse grater.

Combine herring, grated potatoes and eggs in a salad bowl. Salt, pepper and season with mayonnaise.

Mix everything well. Place the resulting mass in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Wash the dill, dry and chop very finely.
STEP 9

Form balls the size of a walnut from the cooled herring-vegetable mixture. If the mass falls apart, then it is better to form balls with wet hands.

Roll herring balls in chopped dill.
