Pink salmon under a fur coat in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake pink salmon under a fur coat with cheese in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Be careful when choosing pink salmon. Its scales should be smooth, clean, and shiny. There should be no damage to the skin. The gills of pink salmon should be light red.
STEP 2
First of all, prepare the fish. Rinse pink salmon thoroughly under running water and dry with paper towels. Remove the entrails. Fillet the fish. Read about how to do this correctly at the end of the recipe.
STEP 3
Cut the fillet into portions about 3-4 cm thick
STEP 4
Now you can do the vegetables. Peel the onion, wash under running water and cut into thin half rings.
STEP 5
Also peel, wash and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Onions and carrots go well with fish and complement it perfectly.
STEP 6
Place the prepared pink salmon in a baking dish. My mold is ceramic, I don’t lubricate it with anything additionally. Perhaps your mold should be additionally greased with vegetable oil. Read about how to choose a baking dish in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 7
Season the fish a little to taste.
STEP 8
Pepper it. I usually use freshly ground black pepper, it is much more flavorful. White pepper or a mixture of ground peppers or a special mixture of spices for fish are also perfect here.
STEP 9
Pour the juice of half a lemon over the pink salmon fillet.
STEP 10
Place chopped onion half rings on top of the fillet.
STEP 11
Spread the grated carrots evenly over the onions.
STEP 12
Mix sour cream with mayonnaise and brush a layer of carrots with the resulting mixture. I like sour cream and mayonnaise together, but you can use one or the other depending on your taste preferences. You can make your own mayonnaise. You will find recipes for homemade mayonnaise after the last step.
STEP 13
Grate the hard cheese and sprinkle it over the top of the dish. I really love baked, golden-brown cheese crust, so I add the cheese right away. If, on the contrary, you like soft and stretchy cheese, sprinkle it on the dish 10 minutes before the end of baking.
STEP 14
Bake pink salmon under a fur coat in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 15
Serve the finished dish hot. Bon appetit!
