Duck breasts baked in the oven with apples

STEP 1

How to bake duck breasts with apples in the oven? Prepare the products indicated on the list. What varieties of apples are best to use? Sweet or sweet and sour apples are perfect. If you took sour fruits, then include a pinch of sugar or a teaspoon of honey in the ingredients.
STEP 2

Rinse the breasts and be sure to dry them with napkins or a towel. There should be no excess moisture on the meat. Make cuts on the skin with a sharp knife, as in the photo. Lightly salt and pepper the breasts. Massage until the salt and pepper are evenly distributed.
STEP 3

Take a frying pan with a thick bottom. Using a silicone brush, lubricate the bottom with a minimal amount of vegetable oil. Place the breasts skin side down and place the skillet over high heat. Once the pan is hot, reduce the heat to medium and cook the meat for about four minutes.
STEP 4

At this time, wash and dry the apples and garlic. Peel the fruit if desired, I usually don't do this. Cut the apples and garlic cloves into slices.
STEP 5

Turn the duck breasts over to the other side and fry for another 4-5 minutes. Place the fried meat on a plate.
STEP 6

Add apples, garlic, butter, salt and spices to taste to a frying pan with rendered duck fat. Increase the heat a little.
STEP 7

Stirring constantly, cook the slices for about one minute. Until the apples are completely saturated with spices and butter.
STEP 8

Place apples and duck breasts in a baking dish.
STEP 9

Place the dish in a preheated oven and bake until done. How long and at what temperature should you bake? Everyone's oven is different, and therefore the temperature and time may vary. I cooked on the top-bottom mode at 240 degrees for about 10 minutes. The time also depends on what degree of readiness you want to achieve in the end. If you like fully baked meat, then you should increase the time a little.
STEP 10

Cut the finished breast into medium-sized pieces and serve while it’s still hot!
