  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make caramelized bananas in a frying pan? To prepare a delicious dessert, prepare all the necessary ingredients. You should not use bananas that are already overripe, otherwise they will fall apart during cooking. Bananas should be quite dense.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the bananas and cut into pieces 1.5-2 centimeters thick. Don't cut them too thin. You can even cut the bananas lengthwise, along the entire length.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Melt the butter in a small frying pan. Do this over low heat so that the oil does not start to burn. Stir the butter so that it melts as evenly as possible. Read the separate article at the end of the recipe for how to choose a frying pan.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then pour the prepared sugar into the melted butter. Stir and leave to heat for a few more minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

The sugar will melt and begin to take on a golden, caramel color. The process must be controlled. The mass will begin to foam. If you miss a little, the sugar may burn. Use a wooden spatula to mix.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour water into the caramel mass. Do this carefully, as the mixture will begin to sizzle and bubble. That's how it should be. Stir the mixture and cook for a minute until the sugar dissolves.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place sliced bananas into hot caramel. Cook them for a minute over low heat. If the bananas are soft, then the frying time can be reduced a little. The main thing is that they retain their shape.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Then carefully flip the bananas over and cook for another minute on the other side. Sprinkle them with a little ground cinnamon to taste. Instead of cinnamon, you can also sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Homemade caramelized bananas are ready! Place them on the prepared dish and help yourself. They are very tasty both hot and cold. Enjoy your meal!

I accidentally saw an interesting recipe for caramelized bananas on the website and wanted to make this delicious dish for dessert. I had a large ripe banana. For the syrup I used half as much ingredients. I did everything as written in the description, following the steps. After adding water to the pan, the syrup actually began to bubble and sizzle. At this point, I placed thick slices of bananas in the pan. There is one point here - the liquid shoots and splashes. Therefore, you need to be careful not to get burned. It’s better to take a frying pan or saucepan with high sides. The bananas were fried for no more than a minute on each side. At the same time, you can see how one side becomes transparent, which means it’s time to turn it over. In my photo you can see how the caramel has browned, in these places it is crispy. Even when I transferred the bananas to a plate, transparent caramel threads stretched from the frying pan) The dessert turned out tasty, sweet and very aromatic. Thanks for the recipe!

I really like these types of fillings. True, I cook them a little differently, but the essence of the recipe is the same. I also like to add rum syrup, it makes for a very aromatic banana filling)
