STEP 1

How to bake apples with cottage cheese in the oven? Prepare your food. Sweet and sour varieties are best suited for apples; Antonovka will be especially aromatic. Choose natural cottage cheese and sour cream, of any fat content, without milk fat substitutes. Also take high-quality and natural honey, it is better if it is liquid.
STEP 2

Beat the cottage cheese in a blender to make the filling more tender and homogeneous.
STEP 3

Combine cottage cheese, liquid honey, egg yolk, ground cinnamon and sour cream. Mix everything well. If the cottage cheese is dry, you can increase the amount of sour cream to 3 tbsp.
STEP 4

Wash the apples and dry them. Cut off the top of the apple in the form of a lid, using a sharp small knife, carefully remove the pulp inside the fruit. Here you need to act carefully so as not to damage the walls of the apples, otherwise the juice and filling may leak out during baking.
STEP 5

Fill the prepared apples with curd filling.
STEP 6

Cover the apples with cut “lids” and place in a baking dish. Pour some hot water into the bottom of the mold.
STEP 7

Bake stuffed apples in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes until soft. Baking time will depend on the density and size of the apples. Larger apples will take a little longer to cook. Soft and crumbly varieties will bake faster. Serve baked apples either warm or cooled. When serving, you can drizzle the dessert with honey. Bon appetit!
