  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake country-style meat in the oven with potatoes? Prepare your food. Any meat will do, I have pork. The beans are frozen; there is no need to defrost them first. Take cream with a fat content of 10 or 20%. Wash and peel the vegetables.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the meat into portions that are not very thick. I had 3 escalopes, it turned out to be 12 small pieces. If there is any fat, do not cut it off - the meat will be juicier. There is no need to beat him off. Salt and season the meat with spices on both sides. Choose spices according to your taste, I took freshly ground black pepper. Leave the meat to stand while you work on the vegetables.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut the onion into thin feathers.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Carrots - small cubes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Potatoes - into thin circles or semicircles, depending on the size.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Take a suitable baking dish. Add a little vegetable oil to the bottom. Place the first layer of potato slices and salt them. Next, add a layer of carrots, beans and onions. Also salt everything on top.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place pieces of meat on the vegetables.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Cover them with potato slices. Salt the top of the potatoes. Pour some water into the mold, 50 ml will be enough.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Cover the pan with foil and place in the oven, preheated to 200°C, for 45-60 minutes. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven and the amount of potatoes. It should become soft and easily pierced with a knife. When this happens (it took me about 1 hour), remove the foil and bake the dish for 15 minutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

At this time, prepare the filling. Beat the eggs into a bowl, pour the cream into them, whisking everything with a fork until smooth. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Remove the pan from the oven, do not turn off the heat. Pour the dish with the creamy egg mixture. Place it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Then take it out again and sprinkle with grated cheese.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Country-bake the meat in the oven with the potatoes until the cheese is melted and lightly browned, 5 to 10 minutes. Then remove it from the oven and serve.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

The dish with country-style pork potatoes is ready. Bon appetit!

I love dishes in which meat and side dish are cooked together. I put all the ingredients in the mold, put it in the oven and that’s it - you can rest. But with my oven this doesn’t always work. So, when cooking the meat in a rustic way in the oven, I had to adjust the recipe to suit my oven. Firstly, boil the potatoes a little, just 10 minutes, before putting them on the meat in the pan. Secondly, fry the onions. While I was boiling the potatoes and frying onion, put the meat in the oven for 30 minutes, covering the pan with foil. I marinated the meat in soy sauce with chopped garlic, since I didn’t have tkemal. Taking the pan out of the oven, I put potatoes, fried onions, green onions (I used frozen ones) on the meat, and did not add dill. I poured mayonnaise on top and sprinkled with a small amount of grated cheese. I cooked it for 30 minutes under foil and another 10 minutes without foil. Everything was baked perfectly. The meat turned out tender, juicy, and just melted in your mouth. The potatoes were also a great success - they were well baked and covered with a crust on top. Very tasty! Thank you very much for the recipe!

Amazing dish! Very soft and tender meat, it just melts in your mouth. The potatoes are incredibly tasty. Instead of cream, I actually added sour cream and warm water to the eggs. Stirred and poured, and immediately added cheese. So that the potatoes are not covered with brown frying.

I’ve long heard about country-style meat with potatoes in the oven and tried to cook it - it turned out to be simple and very tasty! This recipe is a “two in one” - both the main dish and the side dish are cooked together, soaked and saturated with the juices and aromas of all the ingredients. I added green onions right during baking.
