Cookies without sour cream and eggs
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make cookies without sour cream and eggs? Prepare your food. Instead of sugar, these cookies use banana and jam. Therefore, take a ripe banana, but it is better to use sour jam so that the cookies do not turn out cloying. I have lingonberry jam, blackcurrant is ideal. Take refined, odorless vegetable oil.
STEP 2
Take a bowl for the dough. Mash half a banana in it with a fork. The banana, in addition to its sweetness, holds the dough together and acts as an egg.
STEP 3
Pour the jam into the bowl. Naturally, it should be seedless. Mix banana with jam.
STEP 4
Pour in the oil and mix the ingredients well with a fork.
STEP 5
Add semolina to the butter mixture, stir and leave to stand for about 15 minutes, during which time it will swell well and absorb excess moisture from the jam.
STEP 6
Measure half of the total amount of flour and mix it with baking powder. Sift this part of the flour into the bowl with the dough. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baked goods will turn out airy and rise well during baking. Stir the mass, as it will still be liquid; a fork will be enough.
STEP 7
Add the remaining half of the flour in parts, stirring the dough after each portion. The dough will become thick and will need to be kneaded with your hands. It is possible that not all the flour stated in the recipe will be used, check the consistency of the dough. I don't have much left. The dough should become smooth, homogeneous, but soft and not sticky.
STEP 8
Line a baking tray with baking paper. Form the dough into walnut-sized balls, then flatten them slightly. Place them on a baking sheet, leaving space between them, as the cookies will increase in size during baking.
STEP 9
Bake the cookies for about 35-40 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C. Baking time will depend on your oven and the size of the cookies. They should grow in size and turn golden.
STEP 10
Remove the finished cookies from the oven, cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm.
STEP 11
Serve the cookies to the table. Bon appetit!
