STEP 1
How to fry a coho salmon steak in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For this recipe, it is better to take fresh fish, not frozen, otherwise the finished fish risks turning out dry. You can choose spices and herbs to suit your taste; thyme, thyme and rosemary go very well with fish. Instead of dill seeds, you can take ground coriander or cumin.
STEP 2
You can buy ready-made steaks or cut the fish yourself, cutting it into portions 2-2.5 cm wide. Wash the steaks, dry them on a paper towel, rub with salt and pepper on all sides and leave to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
STEP 3
For frying, it is better to use a grill pan, then the fish will turn out not only tasty, but also very beautiful. Grease a frying pan with vegetable oil and heat over medium heat.
STEP 4
Place the rosemary sprigs in the oil and fry lightly for a couple of minutes to allow the oil to absorb all the rosemary flavor.
STEP 5
Place the rosemary on the edge of the pan and place the fish steaks, sprinkle with dill seeds and fry over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
STEP 6
Turn the fish over to the other side and fry for about 5 minutes more. You can check the readiness of the steak by inserting a wooden skewer or toothpick into it: if the juice that appears is clear, then the fish is ready. When the fish is ready, turn off the heat and leave the steaks in the pan for 10 minutes.
STEP 7
Serve the steaks with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice. Bon appetit!
