  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a classic Greek salad with fetax? Prepare all the products that are listed.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the onion. To brighten up the finished salad, use red onion or shallot whenever possible. Cut the bell pepper into two parts, remove the core and seeds. Yellow and orange peppers look very beautiful and bright in a salad. Wash all vegetables in clean cold water and dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut the cucumbers into medium-sized cubes. If the fruit has a bitter peel, cut it off first. Place the cucumbers in a wide plate or deep salad bowl.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Drain the brine from the olives. Cut some of them in half. Both olives and black olives go well with all foods in the salad; you can use both.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cut the bell pepper into medium-sized squares. Place in a salad bowl.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Next comes the line of tomatoes. For salad, it is better to take dense, juicy fruits. Then the tomatoes will keep their shape well and will not turn into mush when stirring the salad. It is also acceptable to cut cherry tomatoes into a salad; they usually have a slightly sweet taste, which gives the finished dish a special note.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cut the onion into thin rings, half rings or even smaller, depending on the size of the onion.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Cut the fetax into small cubes. Fetax cheese is very tender and ideal for preparing salads with vegetables. Send fetax to all components.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Rinse the greens in clean water and dry. Fresh basil, dill, parsley and green young onions are ideal for the salad. I usually use basil and dill for Greek salad. Chop the greens not very coarsely. Distribute evenly over the surface of the salad. Sprinkle chopped dried oregano and peppercorn mixture on top, or you can add these spices to your salad dressing in the next step.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Mix olive oil and freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon in a separate container. Pour the dressing over the salad. Salt and pepper to taste.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Garnish the salad with a sprig of basil and a slice of lemon. Done, ready to serve!

Greek salad is a storehouse of vitamins! I really like to cook it in different variations. A classic Greek salad, first of all, is, of course, a combination of the flavors of ripe cherry tomatoes, fresh cucumber, bell pepper, canned olives and fetax cheese. As an option, instead of standard greens, I like to add crunchy leafy iceberg lettuce to the Greek salad, which gives the salad more volume, freshness and juiciness. Thanks to the author for the recipe and the fresh idea for decorating and serving the salad!

This is exactly how I imagine a Greek salad. A completely normal composition of products. I would say a multivitamin salad.
