Warm water will cause gluten to develop faster, which is responsible for the elasticity of the dough. Knead the dough first with a fork and then with your hand.

    While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. Prepare food for her. It is best to take sour varieties of apples for strudel; they are more aromatic in baked goods. I have an Antonovka. Take light, seedless raisins. I used cane sugar, it gave the filling a light caramel note.

    Place the filling on the dough, retreating a couple of centimeters from one edge and more from the other, 5-7. Distribute it evenly.

    Using a towel, roll the dough and filling into a roll. Twist the edges, pinch off excess dough and fold.

    Line a baking tray with baking paper. Using a towel, transfer the roll to a baking sheet. It turns out to be a rather long roll; it only fit diagonally on my baking sheet measuring 30*40 cm. You can divide the dough into two parts and make two small strudels.

Nice recipe, delicious! The dough stretched well and wrapped without any problems! The crust is crispy, I didn’t brush it with oil during baking, only after removing it from the oven at the end of cooking. And of course with a scoop of your favorite ice cream or cream! Thanks for the recipe!

I’ve long wanted to try making apple strudel and found the perfect recipe! It’s quick and easy to prepare, even a beginner can handle it. The only thing is that I didn’t add nuts, but the apple-cinnamon-raisin combination itself is incredible, you’ll lick your fingers. As stated in the recipe, I constantly brushed it with butter, the strudel turned out crispy and aromatic. For those with a sweet tooth - you can pour chocolate on top, or with ice cream. Great recipe I will make again 😊
