  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make chicken roll with prunes in the oven? Prepare the following ingredients. Chicken breast fillet, it is better to take it fresh. If the meat is frozen, first defrost it completely in the refrigerator. Pitted prunes. Instead of mayonnaise, you can use sour cream or natural yogurt. The spice is ground black pepper, but you can use other favorite dry spices. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater; any hard or semi-hard cheese will do.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the prunes with running cold water and cover with hot water for 15 - 30 minutes (as much time as you have left).

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Turn on the oven to preheat to 190 degrees. Rinse the chicken fillet with cold running water, dry with a towel (paper or regular). Remove veins and films. Place the meat on a board and cover with cling film. Pound the chicken on both sides with a meat mallet. Do not beat the fillet too much so that it is not thin and the filling does not fall out of it. Place the beaten fillet on top of each other with the edges and beat the fillet through the film so that it joins into a single layer

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the battered layer of fillet on foil and add salt and ground black pepper. Distribute spices and salt evenly over the entire area of the chicken meat.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Spread mayonnaise evenly over the entire area of meat.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Sprinkle 2/3 of the fillet evenly with grated cheese, leaving 1/3 aside for now.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Drain the liquid from the steamed prunes and spread them evenly over the entire surface of the fillet.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Carefully, so that the filling does not fall out, roll the meat into a roll. Roll using foil, first from one edge, then from the other. Wrap all the edges of the foil so that the filling and juice do not leak out.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the prepared roll in foil in an oven-safe pan. Place the pan with the roll in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

After 30 minutes, remove the roll pan, carefully cut the foil and unroll it. Sprinkle the surface of the roll with the remaining cheese. Place the pan with the roll in the oven for 5 - 10 minutes until the cheese melts. You can leave it a little longer to allow a golden brown crust to form.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Remove the finished roll from the oven, carefully remove the foil and place on a plate or board. Cut the roll into portions. If you serve the roll immediately after preparing it, it will be juicier and more flavorful than when it has cooled slightly.

I give the recipe for chicken roll with prunes in the oven 10 points out of 10! This combination of tender chicken meat with sweet prunes and cream cheese gives an excellent result. From a whole chicken, I cut off the fillet as much as possible - this is the breast, thighs and partly the legs. We don’t throw away the skin; it will only make the roll more tender; it will transfer all the fat to the meat. I laid out all the cut fillets in a “carpet” to beat with a hammer. I laid unnecessary bags under the meat and on top so as not to stain the surfaces of the table, cutting boards, kitchen meat hammer, and so that the chicken pieces would not fly in different directions if I suddenly overdo it with the beating force)). Place the chopped chicken on a baking bag and brush it on both sides with a mixture of ground peppers, soy sauce and curry. Chicken loves curry spices very much, and, in my opinion, they always turn out great no matter what you cook. I sprinkled it with grated hard cheese (here creamy) and laid out prunes in a path, which I had previously soaked and washed, and I also wanted to cut them into small pieces, and not put them with whole berries. I came across very sweet large prunes, and for one roll I used about 150 grams. I rolled the meat and prunes into a roll using a baking bag and left it in it, tying the edges, so it would be juicier. And wrapped it in a layer of foil. The roll was baked in the oven over low heat for almost an hour and a half. Then I left it to cool without unwrapping in the cold for several hours and cut it into pieces. The taste and aroma of baked meat with dried fruits is indescribable! Many thanks to the author for such a wonderful recipe.
