Beat the chicken fillet with a hammer, add salt, pepper, basil, garlic and leave to marinate for a while. I grated the cheese on a coarse grater. For flavor, I chopped fresh parsley and placed it in the cheese. I placed the cheese mixture on the chicken fillet and carefully rolled it into rolls. Wrap a slice of bacon around each chicken roll. I used two slices of bacon per roll. The chicken rolls in bacon turned out dense and I decided not to use toothpicks to hold them together. I greased the baking dish with vegetable oil, laid out the rolls and put them in a preheated oven. During cooking, the chicken rolls in bacon in the oven released a lot of juice and turned out very juicy, tender with a light, unobtrusive smoked taste from bacon.
