Cherry pie with frozen cherries

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake cherry pie with frozen cherries? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Remove the pitted cherries from the freezer, defrost at room temperature, and squeeze lightly. Save the released juice. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it has time to soften at room temperature.
STEP 2

In a separate container, combine eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar. Instead of sugar, you can add a sweetener that is not afraid of heat treatment. Vanilla sugar can be replaced with vanillin (at the tip of a knife), but be careful with its dosage; if you overdo it, the taste of the baked goods will be bitter. Wash the eggs with a cleaning agent before use, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface.
STEP 3

Beat the egg mixture with a mixer until fluffy.
STEP 4

Add soft butter. Continue beating until smooth. To make the butter soft, remove it from the refrigerator in advance.
STEP 5

Salt the dough to balance the flavor. To better distribute the baking powder throughout the dough, mix it first with a small amount of flour and then add it to the main mass. Stir.
STEP 6

Be sure to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to this, the baked goods will turn out fluffy and airy. Please note that you may need more or less flour than indicated, as its properties may vary, so add it in parts and not all at once. Focus on the desired thick consistency of the dough.
STEP 7

Beat the frozen cherry pie dough in the oven with a mixer. It should be quite viscous and homogeneous.
STEP 8

Take a heat-resistant baking dish with high sides (diameter 25*25 cm). Cover it with parchment. Place the dough into it for a simple, delicious pie and smooth its surface with a silicone pastry brush.
STEP 9

Arrange the cherries evenly on top. In advance (10-15 minutes before cooking), preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the pie for about 45 minutes. Focus on the features of your technique, as they are different for everyone. How to check readiness? Pierce the pastry with a wooden skewer; if it comes out dry, you can remove it. Remove the pie from the oven and cool slightly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Before serving, cut into portion squares.
