    How to make cabbage salad with bell peppers, carrots and vinegar? For this recipe and for this weight (500 grams) I needed half a fork of small cabbage. If it’s vegetable season, it’s better to take young cabbage - it’s juicier, but the salad turned out very well with old cabbage, the main thing is to cut it thinner. You can even grind the cabbage in a blender, having first cut it into large pieces, but just don’t grind it to a pulp.

    Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. I took one that was not very large - just weighing 100 grams.

    Peel the onions and cut them into thin half rings - the thinner the better. I took one large onion for this weight.

    Wash the bell pepper, press the top inward (or cut off), remove the core with seeds and cut into thin strips. In order to make the salad as colorful as possible, you can take half red pepper and half yellow or green. I needed one large pepper for the weight indicated in the composition.

    We are preparing the dressing for our salad. To do this, mix vegetable oil, 9% vinegar, salt and sugar in a small deep plate. Stir until the bulk ingredients (salt and sugar) dissolve. The gas station is ready.

    Place our prepared vegetables into a deep bowl of a suitable size: cabbage, carrots, onions and bell peppers.

    Pour in the dressing and mix everything thoroughly. We give time for soaking and during this time we stir the salad several more times. Serve to the table in a beautiful salad bowl.

After cooking the borscht, there was cabbage left over. I thought for a long time about what to do with it and found a recipe for this salad. The good stuff shouldn’t go to waste, especially since we had all the ingredients for its preparation at home. My cabbage was old, so I cut it as thin as possible. The pepper was only one color, so it was not particularly noticeable in the salad (But this did not affect the taste in any way! It turned out very tasty! I generally love cabbage in any form, and this salad resembles pickled cabbage. While I was taking pictures, I ate half of it! Thanks for the recipe , saved!

The salad is light, juicy and very tasty! I chose the freshest and juiciest cabbage for the salad, so that the cabbage slices would give more juice, mash it with salt. I no longer added any additional salt to the dressing. I also took a thick-walled sweet pepper, it literally splashes with juice when cut. I decided to add white onions, they are less bitter than yellow ones and are also fragile and juicy. I used celery leaves from the greens; it has a pleasant sour taste and incredible aroma. For the dressing I used a little less apple cider vinegar than in the recipe. It also added its aroma and taste to the salad. For more flavor, let the salad sit for about half an hour so that the vegetables were saturated with flavors and aromas. Served with fried fish for dinner. It turned out very tasty!
