Place the meat in an even layer in a baking dish, salt and add any spices to taste. I used barbecue seasoning, you can just add ground black pepper.     Turn on the oven to 200 degrees. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. This time I used leeks, they give the dish a pleasant piquant aroma. Place the chopped onion on top of the meat.

    Peel the carrots and cut into circles; if the carrots are large, then cut each circle in half. I used a curved knife for slicing. Place the carrots in the baking dish in the next layer.

    While the meat is roasting, work on the broccoli. First soak fresh broccoli for 10-15 minutes in salt water to get rid of any insects that may be hiding in the cabbage florets. Then rinse the broccoli under running water. Disassemble the cabbage into florets and remove the hard middle (stalk). You can use frozen broccoli, then skip this step.

    Place the prepared broccoli in boiling salted water and cook for 5 minutes. Then drain the water.

    Prepare milk sauce. To do this, fry the flour in a dry frying pan until golden brown. Stirring constantly, pour in the milk in a thin stream. Add salt, nutmeg and bay leaf to the sauce. Once the sauce has thickened (about 2-3 minutes), turn off the heat. Cool the sauce a little. Remove the bay leaf and discard.
