Wash the carrots and apples thoroughly, remove the skins, and remove the cores from the apples. Then grate both apples and carrots on a fine grater and mix into one mass.
STEP 3
Beat the yolks with 2 tbsp. sugar, add softened butter and bring until fluffy. Then sift the flour with baking powder, add the chopped almonds and combine with the yolks.
STEP 4
Beat the chilled whites, gradually adding sugar, until a strong, stable mass.
STEP 5
Add apple and carrot puree to the main dough, then egg whites.
STEP 6
Place the dough in the mold and level the surface. Now peel the apples for the filling, cut them into thin slices, sprinkle with lemon juice and place beautifully on the pie. Place the pan in the oven for three quarters of an hour at a temperature of 190-195 degrees. Take out the pie and coat it with confiture while still hot. Let cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
