Turkey stew
In order for the turkey stew to be as tasty as possible, no matter how it is prepared, you should first of all be concerned with the quality of the meat. Unfortunately, today there are a variety of products on the market. Poultry farms may use chemical methods to achieve maximum bird weight at minimum cost, not to mention feed. Plus, the carcasses themselves are treated with everything and various nasty things are injected into them, which we then have to eat.
If you are confident in the manufacturer and seller, feel free to skip the next step. If not, then it’s better to play it safe and protect yourself from possible troubles and harm to your health.
This is the step. However you plan to cook the turkey stew, start by boiling it until tender in two waters. That is, pour water over the washed carcass, bring it to a boil, until it foams, and pour the broth into the sink without sparing it. Fill the pan with water again, bring to a boil and cook the meat until done. You can ignore the foam, because it’s better to pour the broth out anyway.
In this way, at the very least, you can cleanse the meat of unnecessary elements of the periodic table, at least partially. If you purchased a turkey at the appropriate price in a package with the appropriate quality marks (or even raised it yourself)), skip this step. Immediately open recipes for stewed turkey, choose the best one and cook with pleasure.
By the way, the process of boiling poultry is also good because its meat becomes softer and more tender. And, importantly, all the proteins remain in place. When cooking high-quality meat, we do not pour out the broth - you can cook an excellent soup with it.
Another tip: to keep the juices in the turkey (and there are already few of them in it), before stewing it is good to lightly fry it in a hot non-stick frying pan, without oil.
You can stew the bird in any way: in a frying pan, in a saucepan, in a saucepan, on the stove, in the oven, in the microwave, in clay pots. And add a variety of vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, and spices to the dish. Make it with or without sauce, gravy.
