Turkey in cream sauce in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make turkey in cream sauce in a frying pan? Very fast and easy! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. What parts of turkey are suitable for this dish? This could be tender, lean fillet from the breast, or fattier meat from the thighs. I have tender tenderloin. You can use any vegetable oil. I have sunflower. In addition to the indicated spices, you can add your own to taste.
STEP 2
Wash the fillets and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into not very large cubes.
STEP 3
Season the turkey with salt, pepper and dried herbs. I used Italian herbs from the mill. But you can choose other herbs to suit your taste. Since I already had the herbs along with sea salt, I did not add additional salt to the meat so as not to oversalt it.
STEP 4
Pour starch into the meat and mix thoroughly so that all the pieces are breaded on all sides. Leave to marinate for 15-20 minutes. Instead of corn starch, you can use potato starch, but you need about half as much as it thickens more. You can also use wheat flour instead of starch.
STEP 5
While the meat is marinating, grate the cheese on a medium or coarse grater. You can use any cheese, even soft cheese, such as processed cheese. I have an ordinary Russian one.
STEP 6
Wash the dill and parsley, shake off moisture and finely chop. If you wish, you can replace or supplement with other herbs, such as cilantro, green onions, or use a mixture of different herbs.
STEP 7
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over high heat and fry the turkey on all sides until golden brown. Finally, reduce the heat to low. This is necessary so that the cream does not curdle due to high temperature and does not go into flakes. Pour cold cream into the pan and stir.
STEP 8
Simmer the turkey in cream over low heat, covered, for 20-30 minutes until cooked. The exact braising time depends on the part of the turkey chosen, the size of the meat pieces and the degree of heating. The starch will thicken the sauce. If you want a thinner and more fluid sauce, you can increase the amount of cream or dilute the sauce with milk. I don’t recommend removing the starch completely - it makes the meat tastier.
STEP 9
Add grated cheese to turkey and stir. The cheese will melt almost immediately and mix with the sauce. Simmer everything together for 1-2 minutes.
STEP 10
At the end, sprinkle the creamed turkey in a frying pan with chopped herbs and serve. Bon appetit!
