  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make turkey with gravy in a skillet? Prepare your food. Turkey fillet is best suited for this recipe. Use fresh meat; frozen goulash will not be as tasty.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the turkey under cool running water, pat dry and cut into medium-sized pieces.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour refined vegetable oil into the pan. Reheat well. There is a simple way to check whether the oil in the frying pan is hot enough. Dip a wooden spatula into it. If bubbles have gathered around, then you can begin the frying process. ,Fry the turkey over medium heat until golden brown. Be sure to stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add a spoonful of wheat flour to the meat and continue to fry, stirring, for another 2 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add tomato paste and sour cream of any fat content. Sour cream can be replaced with cream or natural yogurt without additives. Stir. If you use fresh tomatoes instead of tomato paste, use juicy fruits. Make cross-shaped cuts on their surface with a knife and pour boiling water over them. After a couple of minutes, drain the water, remove the skin, chop finely and add to the pan.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour in 200 ml of hot water, salt, add spices (paprika, ground black pepper). Mix well. Spices can be selected to suit your taste. For example, you can use ready-made poultry spices, but be sure to read the ingredients first. If there is already salt in the mixture, take this into account, otherwise you risk oversalting the dish.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Reduce heat to low. Cover the pan with a lid. Simmer for about 30-35 minutes until turkey is tender. Before serving, sprinkle the finished dish with chopped herbs (parsley, dill, green onions).

I cooked turkey goulash in a frying pan with gravy for dinner. I just had 500 grams of turkey fillet. The meat was already cut into pieces; I didn’t cut it finer. Instead of tomato paste, I used ketchup. I used homemade sour cream (from 10% cream). Paprika was replaced with turmeric (half a teaspoon). I stewed the turkey in the gravy for 25 minutes. The turkey turned out tender, soft, and juicy. The gravy is very tasty and goes well with turkey meat. It turned out to be a great dinner. Maria, thank you very much for the recipe!

Thanks for your interest in my recipe, here is another easy and quick turkey recipe. Turkey meat is very healthy and including it in your daily diet is a very good idea. Meat is prepared quickly according to this recipe; not only the thigh, but also the breast and drumstick of turkey are suitable for cooking.
