Pasta dough is usually mixed with water. Pasta comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Pasta can be made in the form of tubes, straws, shells, stars, bows, feathers, horns. Actually, from everything that human imagination can come up with. It is worth immediately paying attention to the fact that pasta is not spaghetti. And spaghetti in Italian cuisine are long straws without holes inside. In other words, spaghetti is long vermicelli. In fact, the word “pasta” can be used to describe any dough product that needs to be boiled in water (the question of how to cook pasta belongs to the same section). And the preparation of pasta is limited to this very boiling. Pasta is spaghetti, vermicelli, and noodles. But! only for residents of Russia. In Italy, the word “pasta” usually means only flour products in the form of tubes that are hollow inside.
Pasta is an Italian word that can be translated both as “barley flour food” and as “processed dough.” Pasta is loved not only in Italy, but also in East Asian countries.
