Liver with pasta
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make pasta with chicken liver in a frying pan? Prepare all ingredients. Take chicken liver, fresh, not previously frozen. Take pasta from durum wheat. Read more about the intricacies of choosing pasta in the article at the link at the end of the recipe. Choose medium-sized onions and carrots. Prepare a frying pan and pour cold water into the pan to boil the pasta, set it to heat.
STEP 2
Wash and peel the onions and carrots. Chop the onion into small pieces, grate the carrots on a coarse grater or chop them finely. Place the frying pan on the fire and heat it up. Pour in vegetable oil, add chopped vegetables and fry them over high heat, stirring constantly, until the onion is transparent. Read about how to choose the perfect frying pan, as well as how to choose the right vegetable oil in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe.
STEP 3
Rinse the chicken liver under running cold water and dry with paper napkins or a towel. Trim fat and veins from the liver if necessary. Cut large pieces of liver into smaller ones, but small ones can be left uncut. Place the chopped chicken liver in a frying pan with the fried vegetables.
STEP 4
Add salt and ground black pepper to the liver to taste (you can also add your favorite spices, bay leaf, allspice, etc.), mix the liver with fried vegetables. Reduce heat to slightly less than medium, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the liver with onions and carrots for about 10 minutes. While stewing, taste the liver so that it does not dry out during cooking.
STEP 5
Salt the boiling water for boiling pasta. Place the pasta of your choice in boiling water and cook according to package instructions until done. Place the finished pasta in a colander. To make the dish tasty, do not overcook the pasta, let it be al dente.
STEP 6
Add the finished pasta to the chicken liver fried with vegetables and mix everything very well so that all the pasta absorbs the taste and aroma of the prepared dish.
STEP 7
Serve the chicken liver with pasta hot. This is an independent dish that is perfect for a family dinner. When serving, you can sprinkle the pasta with fresh chopped herbs and offer a salad of fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
