Beans remain one of the most accessible, and most importantly healthy, sources of protein. It can be prepared in many ways. It is enough to season it with special spices to get a completely new taste. It can be fried, stewed, boiled, pickled, baked in the oven. Use it to make a complex main course or a pie filling.
Beans in tomato sauce can be bought ready-made - canned (so as not to suffer too much and not waste time on cooking). This is a unique dish also because it is both a complete food and an ingredient. It can be prepared for the winter and then used in a hundred different ways, mixing with a variety of products.
The simplest way to cook beans in tomato sauce is this. Beans need to be soaked overnight so that they cook faster the next day. Boil the beans in salted water for an hour. Check the degree of readiness by simply tasting it. It is acceptable for it to be undercooked. Prepare the sauce separately. For which you can take any suitable vegetables. For example: carrots, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, zucchini. They can be chopped or grated.
The beans are mixed with the sauce and simmered over low heat until fully cooked. A few minutes before the end of cooking, add your favorite seasonings.
In this form, the dish can be rolled into jars or eaten immediately. In the future, you can prepare a delicious soup or stew from it in a matter of minutes.
