STEP 1
How to make roasted mushrooms and potatoes in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use any type of mushroom, the main thing is that they are edible. I have wild mushrooms. When in season they were collected, boiled and frozen. When stored this way, they can be used in any dish immediately after defrosting. When defrosting, liquid will appear from them, which must be drained. Peel the potatoes and rinse well in running water to remove any contaminants.
STEP 2
Peel the onion and rinse in cold water. Then finely chop the peeled onion.
STEP 3
Heat the frying pan until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Then add the chopped onion and fry it over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes, until translucent.
STEP 4
Then add the mushrooms to the pan with the onions. Fry everything together for 5-7 minutes so that all the liquid that appears from the mushrooms evaporates.
STEP 5
While the mushrooms are frying, take care of the potatoes. Cut the peeled potatoes into strips and rinse in cold water. Then drain all the water thoroughly. Why rinse potatoes? Thanks to this procedure, excess starch will be washed off from the potatoes and they will fall apart less when frying.
STEP 6
Add the washed potatoes to the frying pan with the mushrooms and mix everything. Cook the potatoes, covered, over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Be guided by the degree of readiness of the potatoes. If the potatoes can be easily broken with a knife or fork, then the dish is ready.
STEP 7
Add a little salt to taste. For a richer aroma of the dish, you can add just a little chopped garlic.
STEP 8
The finished roast can be served directly in the frying pan or placed on plates. Bon appetit!
