For a feast with my relatives, I was given the task of roasting a duck. After looking through the recipes on our website, I chose a whole roasted juicy duck in foil in the oven. I had a pet not very young drake weighing more than three kilograms. I marinated it for almost two days in a bag, turning it over periodically. The main thing is to coat the inside of the carcass well with marinade. Before baking, I put five small onions inside, cut in half. Next I put in a bunch of parsley and dill. I put my favorite garlic arrows on top). In general, it is believed that you need to bake for 1 hour per 1 kg. duck weight. I did this in two stages. First I kept it in the oven for two hours. Then I removed the onions and herbs. In the inside of the duck I placed three sour, hard apples, cut into quarters, and a handful of prunes. Wrap it in foil again and bake for another hour. I was satisfied with the degree of browning, so I didn’t keep it without foil. At this temperature, the duck literally languishes in its own juice. After all the manipulations, the duck meat turned out so soft and juicy that it simply melts in your mouth! The seeds come off easily. The taste and aroma are beyond praise! Domestic ducks are usually tough when roasted, but following this recipe I created a masterpiece that was appreciated by all my family. I recommend!

After 2.5 hours of frying, the duck was burned! To the smart guys in the comments. Inexperienced cooks, like me, go online for recipes. I trusted the text: “3 hours 15 minutes, you can check without turning around, focusing on the smell.” In my case, the smell appeared when it was already too late.
