Tart with caramelized strawberries

Delicate crumbly base and aromatic filling - what could be better? While there are still plenty of strawberries, don't miss the opportunity to make this tart! Preparing the tart is very simple, but you will have to tinker a little with the filling. By the way, instead of fresh strawberries, frozen ones will work fine here, but you will have to boil them a little longer. The wine leaves only the flavor in the filling, so don’t worry, children can also eat the pie. Help yourself!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients for filling.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Melt the sugar in a frying pan over low heat. We don’t mix the sugar with anything, just shake the pan from side to side.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

When all the sugar has melted (be careful so that the sugar does not start to burn!) add strawberries cut into halves (depending on size). Cook for 2-3 minutes. When you add the strawberries, the caramel at the bottom of the pan will harden, don’t worry, the caramel will disperse during cooking.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add butter and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring from time to time, until the liquid has completely evaporated.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add balsamic vinegar and wine, cook for another 3 minutes. The filling is ready.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Line a springform pan (mine is 24 cm in diameter) with baking paper. We spread the filling.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Roll out the shortbread dough (about 3 mm thick) and carefully transfer it on top of the filling.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Bake the tart in an oven preheated to 190 C for about 20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Let the finished tart stand in the mold for a few minutes and turn it over onto a plate (after freeing it from the split ring).

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Let the tart cool and serve. Bon appetit!
