Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
The rolls are small rolls of rice and Nori seaweed with filling. The filling is usually fish or seafood, less often chicken. Vegetables are usually paired with the fish component. Most often, the filling is supplemented with fresh cucumbers and avocado pulp. The base is mayonnaise sauce or cream cheese. In principle, the filling can be any, just like pizza. I will share my favorite filling options for rolls.
STEP 2
Let's prepare the cucumber. We wash it and cut off the tails. Cut the cucumber into four parts. From each quarter we cut off the pulp with seeds. The pulp can be eaten; it does not go into the filling. Cut the remaining hard part of the cucumber lengthwise into strips.
STEP 3
Cut the crab sticks into 4 pieces into strips the size of the cucumber.
STEP 4
Take lightly salted salmon or trout, remove the skin from the fish and cut into strips. If the piece of fish is large, then first you can cut some of the fish into plates and make Philadelphia rolls.
STEP 5
Peel the sweet and sour apple, cut out the core with seeds and cut into strips.
STEP 6
We transfer the curd cheese into a piping bag so that it is convenient to squeeze it out like a cream.
STEP 7
Fry sesame seeds in a dry frying pan or using a microwave oven. In the microwave, the sesame seeds are fried in bursts of 20-30 seconds, stirring each time.
STEP 8
Option 1: classic and most popular. Squeeze out the curd cheese in a strip and lay out the red fish.
STEP 9
Option 2: curd cheese, cucumber strips and fish.
STEP 10
Option 3 (vegetarian): Squeeze out a strip of curd cheese, lay out the cucumber and sprinkle generously with sesame seeds.
STEP 11
Option 4 roll “Tenderness”: crab sticks, curd cheese and sweet and sour apple. A very unusual and delicate combination.
STEP 12
Option 5: crab sticks, cucumber and capelin caviar in mayonnaise sauce with smoked salmon flavor.
