You can use any meat for the recipe according to your taste, just keep in mind that the cooking time will change. For example, chicken will be ready many times faster than beef. This time I took pork. You can take regular or cherry tomatoes, or replace them with tomatoes in their own juice or tomato paste.

    Rinse and dry the meat. Cut the pork into small equal-sized pieces.

    Peel the potatoes, onions and carrots and wash in clean cold water.

    Potatoes with meat can be cooked in a frying pan with a thick bottom and high edges, in a thick-walled saucepan or in a cauldron. So, pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan and heat it well over high heat. Send the pork to fry. Cook until browned and do not forget to stir, otherwise the meat will burn. Add a little water so that it does not completely cover the pieces. Simmer covered over low heat for about 20-30 minutes.

    Cut the carrots into thin slices, or grate them on a grater with large teeth. Chop the onion as desired. Add vegetables to meat.

    Cut the potatoes into cubes or cubes, as you prefer. Chop the tomatoes into slices or crush with a fork until pureed. If desired, remove the skins from the tomatoes first; I usually don’t do this. Add potatoes and tomatoes to the pan.

    Five minutes before the end of cooking, take a small amount of broth from the pan (1-2 ladles), cool slightly, add flour and whisk so that there are no lumps. If there is not enough broth in the potatoes, then use plain warm water.

For dinner I prepared stewed potatoes with tomatoes and meat. The idea is simply superb: both the meat and the side dish are cooked together, saving cooking time. Vegetables and meat complement each other perfectly in this dish and the end result is delicious! I cut the meat (I have pork) into small cubes, tomatoes into slices, carrots into cubes, potatoes into cubes. Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron, lay out the meat and fry until almost done. Then add vegetables, add salt and pepper, pour in water so that the water covers the meat . I simmered it for about 40 minutes. A few minutes before it was ready, I poured a little broth into a cup, stirred the flour and poured it back into the cauldron. This is how you can easily prepare a delicious and satisfying dish.
