STEP 1

How to stew meat with cabbage and apples? Prepare all the necessary products that are indicated. For the recipe, I took a piece of pork neck, it was moderately fatty and juicy. You can use any part of the animal; the meat will become soft during cooking. If you want a lighter version of the dish, then take chicken or breast.
STEP 2

Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Peel the onions, carrots and garlic. Rinse all vegetables, apples and herbs in clean cold water.
STEP 3

Chop the onion not very large. These can be half rings or medium-sized cubes. Grate the carrots using a coarse grater or a vegetable slicer for Korean salads. Chop the garlic finely.
STEP 4

Rinse and dry the pork. Cut the meat into small cubes, approximately 1cm in size. by 1 cm.
STEP 5

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Send the onions, garlic and carrots to fry. Cook until the onion becomes translucent. Don't forget to stir so nothing burns.
STEP 6

Send the meat to fry. Stir, reduce the flame to low, cover the pan with a lid and leave to simmer for about 10-15 minutes. If the meat burns, add 1-2 tbsp. water.

Meanwhile, chop the cabbage into strips.

Place the cabbage in the pan.
STEP 9

Rinse the sauerkraut in a colander under running cold water, then add it to the frying pan. At this stage, also add butter, your favorite dry seasonings and herbs. Mix everything well, turn the heat on the stove to moderate and simmer everything together under the lid for 30-40 minutes.
STEP 10

Cut the apples into small pieces. What apples are best for this recipe? Fruits of sweet and sweet and sour varieties are good.
STEP 11

Place the apples in the frying pan and stir. Pepper and salt to taste. Simmer everything together for another 20 minutes.
STEP 12

Sprinkle the finished dish with finely chopped fresh herbs.
STEP 13

Serve while it's hot!
