I love stewed cabbage, and this recipe interested me because the meat and cabbage are stewed together, and also because both fresh and sauerkraut are used. Then I added cabbage, butter, and prepared seasoning. I cooked the meat with cabbage and apples, stewed under the lid for 40 minutes. Added chopped apple, salt, simmered for another 20 minutes. The meat was fried until soft, the cabbage turned out very juicy and aromatic. Sauerkraut imparted its unique piquancy to the dish. Nevertheless, the dish turned out to be moderately sour.
