  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to stew sauerkraut with meat in a slow cooker? Prepare everything you need according to the list. For the recipe, I used a piece of pork neck, which made the finished dish especially juicy. You can take any part of the animal. If you have a frozen piece of pork, you should first defrost it.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the pork into small cubes, about 1 cm by 1 cm.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the onions and carrots, rinse and dry with paper towels. Cut the onion into half rings or cubes. Grate the carrots using a coarse grater.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Set the multicooker to the “Baking” or “Frying” mode. When the bowl is hot, pour a small amount of vegetable oil into it. Send the onions and carrots to fry. Cook, stirring, until the onion becomes slightly translucent.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add pork to roast. Stirring occasionally, fry for 15-20 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Drain the cabbage in a colander and rinse in clean cold water.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cut the tomatoes into small slices or cubes. If desired, remove the skins from the tomatoes first. To do this, pour boiling water over the tomatoes, leave for a minute, then drain the water. Next, remove the skin. By the way, tomatoes can be replaced with tomato paste or tomatoes in their own juice.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Add garlic, not very finely chopped, and your favorite dry herbs or seasonings to the meat. Squeeze the cabbage from the water and place it together with the tomatoes in the multicooker bowl.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add bay leaf and salt to taste. If you have out-of-season tomatoes, then add a pinch of sugar, then the taste of the finished dish will be more balanced. Pour in about 50 ml. boiling water and mix everything thoroughly. You can add a little more water, depending on the juiciness of the tomatoes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Close the multicooker with a lid, set the “Stew” mode and leave until ready (1 hour). Stir the cabbage and meat two or three times during cooking. Focus on the features of your multicooker.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Ready! When serving, offer each person a bowl of ground black pepper.

I really love stewed cabbage, especially stewed cabbage with meat. I will offer another amazing option - solyanka made from sauerkraut, pork, smoked sausage. Consolidation!

My husband and I really liked sauerkraut with meat stewed in a slow cooker! In my opinion, sauerkraut is much tastier than regular cabbage after heat treatment. It has a unique sourness and an interesting structure! Before starting cooking, I set the “frying” program on the multicooker for 20 minutes at once. 2 minutes to heat up, 10 minutes to fry the pork, 8 minutes with vegetables. My sauerkraut is not very sour, so I just threw it on a sieve to drain the brine. I simmered everything together for 1 hour, adding half a glass of water and stirring once. The dish is delicious! The combination of pork and sauerkraut is just perfect! It seems to me that cabbage turns out softer in a slow cooker than in a frying pan. And even more so meat). Thanks for the recipe!

A recipe that can be useful to everyone. I prepared this dish following the steps given in the recipe. The only thing I recommend is to rinse the cabbage more; mine turned out a bit salty, but still very tasty. The family really liked it. Let's take the recipe into service. Thank you.

This cabbage turns out differently every time :) It all depends on the sauerkraut. If the cabbage is initially tasty, it turns out to be delicious :) Another very big plus of this dish is that it makes me lose weight. Well, not really there, but if you need to quickly get yourself in order for an event, I add this dish to the menu for 3-4 days and have a flat tummy for the holiday :)
