STEP 1
How to bake salmon fillet in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. It's better to take fresh fish. But frozen will work too. In this case, defrost the salmon on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Do not defrost completely, this will make it easier to clean and fillet.
STEP 2
If you have a whole fish, clean it of scales, remove the fins and head, and gut it. Cut along the ridge of the carcass to the spine. Turn over onto its side. Using a sharp knife, cut the meat from the spinal bone. Turn the carcass over to the other side and cut the fillet from the other side. Remove the skin from the fillet with a knife. Rinse under running water and pat dry with paper towels. Turn on the oven to 200 degrees in advance.
STEP 3
Prepare honey mustard sauce. In a bowl, mix Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, and finely chopped green onions. Season the sauce with garlic, passed through a press and salt to taste. Mix everything well until smooth.
STEP 4
Cut the salmon fillet into medium-sized portions.
STEP 5
Line an ovenproof pan with oiled parchment paper. Place fish slices on it.
STEP 6
Using a silicone pastry brush, brush the top of the salmon fillet well with the prepared sauce.
STEP 7
Bake the fish for about 10-12 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. This time will be enough for the fish, the main thing is not to dry it out.
STEP 8
Place the finished fillet on plates and drizzle with the same sauce before serving. The dish is completely self-sufficient, but you can prepare a side dish of boiled rice or potatoes. Additionally, you can serve lemon cut into slices. Lemon juice will tone down the sweetness of the sauce. Serve the dish immediately hot. It is very tasty when chilled and steeped in the same sauce.
