Salad with potatoes and pickles

STEP 1

How to make a salad with potatoes and pickles? Prepare all the necessary products according to the list. Cucumbers can be used either salted or pickled. I often prepare a salad from pickled cucumbers.
STEP 2

First of all, boil the potatoes. Since we will cook it in the peel, the tubers need to be thoroughly washed with a brush to remove all the dirt. Fill clean potatoes with cold water and place on the stove. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the flame, cover the pan with a lid and cook until the potatoes are ready. You can check the degree of readiness using a toothpick. Drain the boiling water from the pan and cool the tubers.
STEP 3

During this time, move on to other products. Peel the onion. Red lettuce or shallots are perfect for the salad. You can use regular onion. Cut the onion into thin half rings or quarter rings. Place in a deep, small bowl.
STEP 4

Pour vinegar over onions. Separate the rings with a fork or knife so that they marinate better. Leave it this way for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 5

Peel the cooled potatoes.
STEP 6

Cut the potatoes into large cubes and place in a salad bowl of a suitable size.
STEP 7

Cut the cucumbers into thin circles or semicircles. Add to potatoes.
STEP 8

Drain the vinegar from the onion and lightly squeeze the half rings. Add all ingredients to a salad bowl.
STEP 9

Rinse the greens and dry. Chop the parsley finely and add to the salad. Salt and pepper everything to taste.
STEP 10

Pour vegetable oil on top. I often use unrefined oil for potato salads; it complements such dishes perfectly.
STEP 11

Mix everything thoroughly and taste it. Add salt if necessary.
STEP 12

Place the finished potato salad in the refrigerator to steep for a while and serve!
