Wash the eggs thoroughly, then boil them hard and cover with cold water. All products must be chilled, as a salad prepared from warm products will quickly spoil.

    Cut the cooled boiled chicken into medium-sized cubes. You can not cut the fillet, but use a fork to separate it into fibers.

    Peel the cooled eggs and also cut them into small cubes.

    Wash the cucumber and dry it from excess moisture with a paper towel. Peel the skin using a vegetable peeler and cut into cubes. If the cucumber skin is not damaged, rough or bitter, it is not necessary to cut it off.

I was looking for a salad recipe made from simple and affordable ingredients so that the preparation would be hassle-free. I needed to quickly put together a salad for the holiday table. I used a salad with pickled honey mushrooms and chicken as a basis, replacing only the chicken with sausage, which speeded up the process. My sausage was raw smoked and slightly spicy. For mushrooms, I had homemade pickled Polish mushrooms. I boiled the potatoes and eggs the day before, so I didn’t waste time on cooking when guests were arriving. I replaced fresh cucumbers with pickled ones, otherwise it’s no longer in season. I cut the onion and scalded it so that there would be no bitterness in the salad. I crushed all the products as described in the recipe, mixed them, seasoned them with mayonnaise, and laid them out in squares on a flat dish. My idea was to make a hut in a clearing. Therefore, I decorated the salad in my own way. I sprinkled a square of all the ingredients with grated cheese, made a lid from straws and sprinkled chopped parsley around the salad. This is the hut I got in a green meadow. And quite quickly, by the way. The salad not only decorated the holiday table, but also surprised with its taste. Tender eggs and potatoes, fragrant mushrooms, pickled cucumbers, crispy onions, as well as spicy sausage and greens - all together so tasty that it’s hard to stop eating! Crispy pickled cucumbers only pleasantly complemented the salad; they combine very harmoniously with the rest of the ingredients and give a pleasant taste and crunchiness.
