    Peel the onion and cut into half rings of medium thickness. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over moderate heat. Add chopped onion. Stirring with a spatula, fry the onion until soft and slightly golden.

    Wash the oyster mushrooms. Do not wet the mushrooms too much; they will absorb water and become watery. It is better to wipe them with a damp sponge. Cut off the dense part of the mushrooms at the base, and cut the mushrooms themselves into strips of medium thickness. Add chopped mushrooms to the frying pan with the onions.

I bought oyster mushrooms and decided to cook something unusual with them. Luckily, I found a recipe for salad with oyster mushrooms on the website. I have never eaten or cooked anything like this before. In the salad I replaced Chinese cabbage with regular white cabbage. When frying the mushrooms and onions, I added a pinch of oregano. Otherwise I followed the recipe. I really liked drying the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan; after this procedure, the sesame seeds gave the salad a slight nutty flavor. I really liked the salad. It turned out very light and fresh. Next time I’ll try to add a clove of garlic and a tablespoon of soy sauce (to make it completely oriental), but this is not at all necessary, the salad is harmonious and self-sufficient.
