Salad with green onions, croutons, ham and beans
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a salad with green onions, croutons, ham and beans? Preparing the ingredients. You can use canned beans or boil them dry, white or red. With canned beans, the cooking process will be faster, and depending on your taste, you can choose which beans you like. Crackers can also be purchased ready-made in the store or prepared at home from a couple of slices of white wheat bread.
STEP 2
If you use dry beans, you need to soak them overnight so that they swell well. In the morning, rinse thoroughly with running water and boil in water for 40 minutes. Add some salt to the beans at the end of cooking so that they don’t get overcooked; for the salad you need them whole. When the beans are cooked, drain the water and let them cool. With canned food, just drain the water.
STEP 3
Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan. In a bowl, beat the egg with a pinch of salt with a fork. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and fry the egg pancake.
STEP 4
We cut the wheat bread into small cubes and dry it on a dry baking sheet in the oven. When they are lightly browned, remove them from the oven and let them cool and harden. And you can take store-bought crackers in any flavor.
STEP 5
Let the egg pancake cool and cut it into squares or stripes.
STEP 6
Finely chop the onion and fry in sunflower oil until golden.
STEP 7
You can use any ham you like, chicken or beef. Cut it into strips.
STEP 8
We wash the green onion well and cut it into small pieces; it will be more beautiful if the feather is cut diagonally.
STEP 9
Grate hard cheese (any kind) on a fine grater.
STEP 10
Place beans, egg pancake, ham, and fried onion in a deep bowl. If required, add salt and season with mayonnaise. You can, of course, use some kind of sauce for dressing, or a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream, it will taste more delicate. Leave the cheese, crackers and green feathers.
STEP 11
Add croutons, cheese and herbs to the salad immediately before serving, otherwise they may become soggy from the mayonnaise and turn into unattractive and tasteless pieces of wet bread, and the cheese and herbs will “spread.” Sprinkle the salad with wheat croutons, grated cheese and green onions on top. and serve immediately to the table. Bon appetit!
