STEP 1
How to make chicken salad with prunes and mushrooms? Prepare your food. You can take chicken meat either boiled or smoked; with boiled meat the taste will be softer. Take pitted prunes and peeled nuts.
STEP 2
How to boil potatoes and carrots for salad? Place clean tubers in a pan of cold water and cook over high heat. After boiling, turn the heat to low. Cook the vegetables for about 25 minutes at a low simmer. Check readiness with a sharp knife - it should pierce the tubers freely. Peel the boiled potatoes and grate them on a coarse grater. Place as the first layer in a ring - if serving in portions, or on the bottom of a salad bowl.
STEP 3
In a frying pan with heated oil over low heat, fry finely chopped onions and mushrooms. Any mushrooms are suitable for this salad - fresh, salted, pickled. The taste of your salad and its piquancy will depend on this. I took pickled boletus. The time for frying the mushrooms will depend on their type. Fry ready-made for about 5 minutes, fresh longer. Cool the finished mushrooms.
STEP 4
Place a second layer of fried mushrooms and onions.
STEP 5
Remove the skin from the chicken (I took smoked) and cut it into cubes. Place it in the next layer in the salad bowl. Spread the layer with mayonnaise.

Boil the eggs. How to hard boil eggs? To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking, place them in cold water and cook over low heat. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then cover with cold water and cool. The shell will be better cleaned from a sharp temperature change. Peel chilled eggs. Grate them on a coarse grater. Peel the boiled carrots and also grate them on a coarse grater.

Place a layer of carrots, compact all layers with a spoon. Add a mesh of mayonnaise.

Pour boiling water over the prunes for 10 minutes. Then drain the water and rinse the prunes well under running water. Dry clean prunes with paper towels. Then chop it finely.

Add finely chopped walnuts. To make the nuts tastier, you can pre-fry them in a dry frying pan. Place the salad in the refrigerator to soak for at least an hour.
