  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make Mistress salad with raisins, nuts and chicken? Prepare the necessary products. Any part of the chicken will do: fillet, thighs or drumsticks.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the chicken fillet, place it in boiling salted water, and bring to a boil. Cook the fillet over moderate heat until done. This is approximately 25-30 minutes depending on the size.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Remove the chicken fillet from the broth and cool completely. Cut the fillet into small cubes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Rinse dried fruits thoroughly. Soak the raisins in water for 10-15 minutes to soften them. Drain the water and dry the raisins with paper towels.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

If dried apricots are a little dry, treat them the same way as raisins. Cut dried apricots into small cubes. Some of the dried apricots can be left to decorate the salad on top (optional). Peel and wash the garlic. Pass the garlic through a press or grate it on a fine grater.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour water into the beets in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook the vegetable over moderate heat until tender. Check the beets for doneness with a knife. If it easily pierces the vegetable, then the beets are ready. Remove the beets from the water and cool completely. Peel the beets, chop on a coarse grater, add chopped dried apricots and 1.5-2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise. Mix well. Add mayonnaise to taste. If the beets are juicy, you can add less.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Peel and wash the carrots. Grind the vegetable on a grater. I used a Korean carrot grater to make this salad layer a little softer. You can grate it on a coarse grater. Add prepared raisins to carrots, add mayonnaise to taste. Mix well.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Boil the eggs hard. How to do it? Pour water over the eggs and bring to a boil. Cook over moderate heat for 7-8 minutes from the moment it boils. Pour boiled eggs with cold water so that they cool down and the shells are better cleaned from a sharp temperature change. Peel the eggs and grate them on a coarse grater.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Grind the hard cheese on a coarse grater.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

In a bowl, combine grated eggs and cheese, add chopped garlic and mayonnaise. Mix well.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Chop walnuts in a convenient way. Can be chopped with a knife. I grated some of it on a coarse grater, and chopped the rest and used it to decorate the salad. If desired, you can add all the nuts to the salad. Choose the degree of grinding yourself.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Start assembling the salad. Place a cooking ring on a plate or lay out the salad in layers in a convenient salad bowl. Place the carrot layer first, smooth it out and compact it a little with a spoon.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Then spread the chicken fillet in an even layer.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

    Apply mayonnaise to the chicken.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place the egg-cheese layer, level and smooth.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

I sprinkled a layer of chopped nuts on top. You can add nuts to beets. Choose the option that you like best.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Finish the salad with a layer of beets and dried apricots. Smooth and press well. The salad does not require additional soaking time, since the layers already contain mayonnaise. It can be served immediately, but can be chilled slightly if desired.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Remove the cooking ring before serving. Decorate the salad with walnuts, dried fruits, and herbs. Bon appetit!

Today I am preparing the Mistress salad with raisins, nuts and chicken. I used to make a similar salad, but without eggs and chicken. This time I decided to try a more satisfying version according to the author’s recipe. It turned out to be a very bright, tasty salad!! Thank you, Julia!
