Rotten stump pie with jam

Porous, soft, very tasty and beautiful in appearance! Rotten stump pie with jam is familiar to many from childhood. Some people start baking it at a tender age. Simple and uncomplicated baking invariably pleases both adults and children. Its structure is soft and absorbs any cream well.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake a rotten stump pie? Take a set of products from the list. You can take any jam, even liquid, from any berries or fruits (maybe even vegetables). Make sure there are no seeds in it. I have plum. But if you use blackcurrant or blueberry, the dough will turn an unsightly gray-greenish color, keep this in mind.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a separate bowl, combine the egg and sugar and beat well with a fork.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

    Pour kefir into the egg.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add baking soda (you can quench it with additional acid, although it can be quenched with kefir).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Next, pour in the prepared jam.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add flour in portions and knead into a homogeneous dough. Let it sit for a while - about 15 minutes. You may need more or less flour, it depends on its properties. The dough should turn out like thick sour cream. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the dough on oiled paper or in a greased baking dish.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes depending on the size of the pan. I used half the ingredients and a 20 cm wide mold. Consider the characteristics of your oven - it will take you either more or less time than mine.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Carefully turn the cake over and remove the baking paper; let the cake cool. You won't be able to cut it with a thread - I have large pieces of plum in my jam.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Cut the pie in half - if desired. If you don’t want to use cream, the pie is ready to serve just like that.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Grease the cakes with sour cream - randomly mix sour cream with sugar and beat well. Serve the Rotten Stump pie for tea.

For tea I decided to bake a rotten stump pie with jam. I had homemade apple jam, and instead of kefir I used fermented baked milk. I decided to bake the pie in a slow cooker, for me it’s even easier))). Bake at 180 degrees for 45 minutes. The dough rose well and baked. I cut the pie into three layers. They are similar in color to honey cake))) I layered them with sour cream and left them to soak for several hours. Very tasty, aromatic pie! Thanks for the recipe, naniki!
