STEP 1

How to make rice casserole with minced meat? Prepare your ingredients. You can make the casserole without carrots, but they add a pleasant flavor and tenderness to the dish, so it’s better with them. You can make minced meat yourself, if time permits, or use homemade frozen or store-bought stuffing. Of course, mixed beef and pork will be tastier and fattier; chicken will be less nutritious.
STEP 2

Finely chop the onion. Peel and grate the carrots.
STEP 3

Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan, add finely chopped onion. Fry it until transparent.
STEP 4

Add grated carrots to the pan with the onions. Fry the vegetables until golden brown.
STEP 5

Then put the minced meat in the pan and stir. Add salt and ground black pepper, you can use any spices for meat, fry until the minced meat turns white. Then turn off the heat and leave the minced meat in the pan under the lid.
STEP 6

Rinse the rice well (until the water becomes clear), add clean water and cook, adding salt, until slightly cooked. Drain off the liquid, reserving a little, the rice should be moist, but since we are using steamed rice, it should not turn into porridge. Let it cool a little.
STEP 7

Beat in two eggs. Stir.
STEP 8

Place two-thirds of the boiled rice in a greased pan.
STEP 9

Then distribute the minced meat fried with vegetables evenly over the rice layer.
STEP 10

Place the remaining rice on top; if there is any liquid left in the pan, be sure to pour it into the pan. Sprinkle grated hard cheese on top. Place the casserole in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
STEP 11

When the casserole is browned, remove it. Serve hot, with fresh vegetables, herbs, ketchup or any sauce. Bon appetit!
