Quick pie with cottage cheese

A quick recipe for a sweet crumb pie with curd filling. In this recipe there is no need to knead the pie dough; instead of the usual dough, there is crumble made from butter, ground with flour and sugar. It is better to prepare the curd filling with the addition of semolina and be sure to grind the mixture with a blender so that there are no grains of cottage cheese.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

The dough in this pie is replaced by sweet crumbs made from flour, sugar and butter, and the filling is prepared, like a cottage cheese casserole, from cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, with the addition of semolina.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To bake the pie, take a mold with split edges and grease it with butter.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

For the filling, mix cottage cheese with eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and semolina.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Grind the cottage cheese with eggs and sugar thoroughly using a blender to obtain a homogeneous curd mass.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Now prepare the crumbs - pour the flour into a container, mix it with baking powder, sugar and vanilla sugar. Then grate 200 grams of chilled butter into the flour mixture on a coarse grater and knead everything together until sweet crumbs form.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour half of the sweet crumbs into a springform baking dish in an even layer so that the bottom is completely covered.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Spread the curd mixture onto the crumbs in the mold and level the surface.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour the remaining crumbs onto the curd mass and level the surface again.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Cut the remaining butter into pieces and place them on the surface of the crumbs.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the filled form in it for 40 minutes.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Take the finished pie with cottage cheese out of the oven and remove the sides from the pan.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Carefully transfer the pie to a flat dish, separating it from the bottom of the pan with a spatula.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

When serving, cut the pie with cottage cheese into portions.

I whipped up a pie with cottage cheese using this recipe. I was preparing a small pie, so I reduced the amount of ingredients using the site’s calculator, which is very convenient. The curd filling came out yellowish in color, as I used a homemade egg, and very tender, thanks to the blender. This is the first time I’ve added semolina to the curd filling and it’s great. I made the crumble very quickly and easily. Only instead of butter I took creamy margarine. I added another layer of raspberries grated with sugar. I cooked the pie in the oven for half an hour. Great recipe! I especially liked that you don’t need to knead and roll out the dough. Very similar to grated pie, only even simpler. I just made some crumbs and it’s almost done. I would call the pie “filled” - I poured the crumbs, put the filling, poured the crumbs again and into the oven. Delightfully simple! The dough came out crumbly and tasty, and the filling was excellent. Not cloying, not dry, just in moderation. Raspberries complemented the curd layer well. The pie went off with a bang. Many thanks to the author!

for the recipe! What wonderful spots the oil left on the surface after baking. I didn’t even think that this could happen.

The pie is simply wonderful. Even my sister, who doesn’t eat cottage cheese, ate it on both cheeks
